- ➤ On Memorial Day, a Kissimmee man from Brazil was detained by ICE at the Grand Canyon despite having a Florida ID and work permit—his boyfriend said the detention disrupted their wedding plans and he is raising money for legal help to bring him home. ClickOrlando
- ➤ Following an investigation by the Orange County Sheriff's Office into misconduct allegations—including claims that former officer Andrew Baseggio assaulted Sean Kastner on an April 2023 call—four officers were fired, three resigned, two were demoted and three were suspended as city officials discussed forming a new civilian oversight board.
