Good morning, Kissimmee.
🏘️ Community
Community leaders and veteran advocates gathered Saturday morning at Triple N Shooting Range for McCormick Research Institute’s 2nd Annual Clays Classic for Veterans to honor service and support equine-assisted therapy programs.
The Institute, which began as Heavenly Hooves in 2002 and has grown to serve over 20,000 riders, continues to rely on donations and volunteers—vital for its research and ongoing support programs.
📰 Real Estate
A RentCafe study showed Kissimmee ranked second nationwide and first in Florida for converting hotels to apartments in 2024 — the city completed 502 units, including converting the Champions World Resort Hotel into a 352-unit community.
The study noted an additional 1,287 conversion projects planned while Orlando trails in this housing trend.
🏈 Sports
St. Cloud golf standout Karolyna Adams signed her scholarship papers Saturday morning at Royal St. Cloud Golf Club and will play college golf at Tiffin University starting this fall.
The senior, a four-time All-Orange Belt Conference selection, said she chose Tiffin for its small campus and strong academic program in sports psychology — details that underscore her commitment to both athletics and academics.
