Good morning, Kissimmee.

Central Florida is expected to break old record lows today as an arctic blast brings temperatures down to the low 30s and wind gusts reach 15 to 20 mph, making it feel even colder.

Highs will struggle to reach 60 while temperatures gradually warm by the weekend.

A cold weather advisory is in effect today across Central Florida with temperatures expected to drop into the 30s—wind chills could fall to the low 20s; meteorologist Marquise Meda advises residents to dress warmly and protect their people, pets, pipes and plants.

On Nov. 8, residents across Central Florida witnessed a brilliant fireball streak the morning sky as debris from a Chinese Long March 3B Third stage reentered the atmosphere.

Experts said the intense heat from friction broke the object apart—producing a glowing trail visible for miles.
