Good morning, Kissimmee.

Hope Partnership opened its second mobile shower trailer — which includes a laundry station and ADA accessible feature — on Monday in Osceola County to help 75 to 100 unhoused residents during its weekly Hope Cares Day.

AdventHealth donated $75,000 to fund the unit as demand for basic hygiene services rises.

Today, Kissimmee will accept a $200K grant from the Florida Department of Children and Families to fund a pilot program that offers coordinated homeless services through a team including a homeless service coordinator, law enforcement officers, and a mental health provider—details will be discussed at the city commission meeting at 6 p.m.

At Monday night's meeting, the Osceola County Commission approved two new subdivisions—Weslyn Park Neighborhood D East and Cypress Landings.

Weslyn Park—led by Tri Pointe Homes—will add 289 detached homes on a 51-acre site with park spaces and a pond while Cypress Landings will bring 587 units on a 187-acre site with stormwater ponds, a recreation space and preserved wetlands.
