  • Osceola Arts’ ARTisNOW Public Murals Project expanded by cutting the ribbon on a five-panel mural at the Orange Gardens Community Center — painted by Venezuelan artist Deivi Sanchez and featuring a nature scene that comes to life with a QR code.   • Osceola County students earned college honors for their academic achievements, with Jacques Bernard from Kissimmee earning a Master of Science from Georgia Tech + several other locals being named to Dean’s or President’s lists at various universities. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Narcoossee Road—a key north-south route through Orange and Osceola counties—has seen daily traffic increase from 38,000 vehicles in 2022 to over 58,000 today, surpassing its 55,000 capacity. MetroPlan Orlando reported that recent signal adjustments only cut evening delays by 36 seconds while adding six seconds to morning trips, and a new toll road in design will offer a long-term alternative in several years.  ClickOrlando
  • Harbor House of Central Florida is waiting on a $500,000 federal grant as the government shutdown delays funding for transitional housing for domestic violence survivors.
