- ➤ Firefighters in Kissimmee now use the Phoenix G2 alerting system to dispatch calls faster with text-to-speech alerts and LED displays showing real-time call details—cutting response times for emergencies. City officials will build two new fire stations in areas with longer delays over the next five years—improving response times further. WESH
- ➤ The Central Florida Expressway Authority is set to review the Southport Connector project that will build a 15-mile expressway linking Poinciana Parkway to the Florida Turnpike, with the board meeting on Dec. 11.
