- ➤ Osceola County has signed an agreement with Turning Point Counseling to fund the Emerge program for inmates with up to $250,608 annually until Aug. 3, 2028—this program teaches skills like financial literacy and resume building to help reduce recidivism to 13% and support successful re-entry. - ➤ After a court overturned Florida’s open carry ban on September 10, gun owners will soon be allowed to carry firearms openly in many public places starting September 25—though private property owners can still prohibit guns.
