- ➤ On Tuesday, the Osceola County School Board approved a tentative $2.02 billion budget for fiscal year 2025—2026 that increases funding by $151 per student to support staffing, special education and infrastructure needs. - ➤ Central Florida Expressway Authority will hold three public hearings next week on Sept. 16, 17 and 18 regarding the Southport Connector Expressway—a proposed elevated toll road in the median of Cypress Parkway aimed at reducing congestion while some residents fear it will split Poinciana in half.
