- ➤ Workers at Disney Epcot’s Italy Pavilion will vote on a strike authorization on Sept. 10 after contract talks with the Patina Group did not make progress, and if the vote passes they may strike when the current contract ends on Sept. 30. The union workers, led by Unite Here Local 737, are asking for an $8 raise, free health insurance, a pension plan, and a 20 percent auto gratuity — demands they say will help them support their families in the high-cost area.
