- ➤ Kissimmee Police arrested 10 individuals after a two-month operation that disrupted alleged street-level sales of fentanyl and cocaine near schools and daycares behind a retail plaza on Cypress and Main Streets known as 'The Wall'—the arrests carry felony drug charges for offenses within 1,000 feet of protected areas and were coordinated with the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office. - ➤ The Osceola County School Board reached tentative agreements on August 20th and 13th for $10.3 million in compensation packages for the 2025–26 school year that will benefit instructional staff, education support professionals, and Teamsters employees. The deals include performance pay raises, a recurring 2% retention supplement, and a 2% cost-of-living adjustment — and now await ratification. Positively Osceola
- ➤ A new 2025 report shows that high schools are ranked by graduation rates, college readiness and state assessment scores—Neocity Academy in Kissimmee is the best public high school in Central Florida, ranking second in the state and 34th nationally.
