  • With the new school year underway in Osceola County, the Early Learning Coalition advises parents to focus on overall health—ensuring regular check-ups, updated vaccinations, proper nutrition, and good sleep habits so students stay ready to learn. The group stresses that these measures are key for keeping children fit and focused throughout the school year.  Positively Osceola
  • The Osceola County School District is partnering with Smart Radar System— a Korean company in pedestrian detection— to test a new safety system on school buses that uses sensors to scan blind spots and the bus interior. The system costs about $5,000 per bus and will be installed on at least one bus by winter break.  ClickOrlando
  • Osceola County has launched the Families in Transition program to help students without a permanent home as the school year begins—providing unaccompanied youths ages 16—19 with help for paperwork and transportation so they can maintain their education.
