- ➤ Parents in Osceola County are worried about students' safety at Neptune Middle School as a construction project has closed the sidewalk—Tayri Cross said she will not allow her son to walk until conditions improve. The county has kept marked crosswalks and increased deputy patrols while the work will continue until summer 2027. WESH

- ➤ Osceola County district officials say they are in a good spot with teachers as the school year begins and are handling a shortfall of about a dozen bus drivers by combining routes and making extra trips—currently ensuring that all bus routes are covered. - ➤ Classes in Osceola County Public Schools have begun with the launch of two new school websites for District 2 (Cross Prairie and PM Wells Center for Academic Excellence) and a bus tracking app called ReaXium (which lets parents see when their children board and leave the bus).
