- ➤ Data from the NHTSA shows Florida recorded the most motorcyclist deaths in the US from 2019 to 2023—668 fatalities were reported in 2023, more than any other state. - ➤ City commissioners voted unanimously Tuesday to impose stricter noise limits downtown—bars and restaurants must keep music below 85 decibels until 10 p.m., 70 until midnight, and 65 until 7 a.m. Establishments that use outdoor speakers must get a special permit for alcohol sales after midnight—this permit will go into effect Oct. 1.
