- ➤ Firefighters responded around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday to a large house on Alice Boulevard in Kissimmee that was engulfed in flames, and the State Fire Marshal is investigating the cause as neighbors (like Andria Adkins) reported recent trespassing near the property. WFTV
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Richard Rosario (49), a Kissimmee man freed after a wrongful conviction in a 1996 murder case, was arrested on July 31 in Osceola County on charges of attempted murder when he allegedly fired at a sedan on South Poinciana Boulevard near Crescent Lakes Way on July 29. Around Osceola
- ➤ A 17-year-old girl was reported missing from the Sun Lake Court area of Osceola County and the sheriff’s office described her as 5 feet, 4 inches tall with black hair and brown eyes — anyone with information is urged to contact them immediately by calling 407-348-2222 or 911. ClickOrlando

- ➤ Kissimmee city commissioners will ratify an agreement with the firefighters’ union that changes shifts and starts a new fire assessment fee on Oct 1 to fund hiring and training; the fee is expected to raise over $6.1 million and reduce workweeks from 56 to 42 hours—Fire Chief Jim Walls said the new schedule is planned to begin next April.
