Walt Disney World Resort will host a holiday event from November 14 to December 31 that turns the parks, Disney Springs, and resort hotels into a winter wonderland with festive decor, special food and drink, and holiday shows.

The resort will offer a deal — up to 20% off select hotel stays and a $100 gift card with a four-day ticket package, available from July 10.

The Museum of Military History in Kissimmee will host a remembrance day called 'Keep the Spirit of ’45 Alive' on August 9 to honor World War II veterans and mark the 80th anniversary of the war’s end—guests can enjoy free entry and exhibits from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and then attend a dinner event at 6:30 p.m. with tickets at $50 per person or $400 for a table of eight.

Kissimmee City Hall got the Downtown Beautification & Innovation Award on July 17 when the Downtown Kissimmee Council recognized its updated Rain Garden and downtown improvements; a commemorative sign will hang in the City Hall lobby for three months to honor the city’s work to make downtown inviting.
