- ➤ City of Kissimmee commissioners voted unanimously on Tuesday to pass an ordinance that allows restaurants, microbreweries, distilleries, tasting rooms, and specialty retail establishments in the Downtown Community Redevelopment Area to sell alcohol from midnight to 2 a.m.—the permit costs $250 annually and will be managed by the Kissimmee police chief. Mayor Jackie Espinosa led discussions with business owners and the measure will take effect on Oct. 1 later this year. WESH
