- ➤ Edwin Ibanez (55) was arrested on May 28 in Kissimmee by the Osceola County Sheriff's Office for six alleged thefts at Lowe's on Pleasant Hill Road after surveillance footage identified his vehicle, and he was booked on charges of grand theft, petit theft, dealing in stolen property and driving while his license was suspended after he confessed to selling the stolen goods for profit. - ➤ Commissioner Viviana Janer led a groundbreaking ceremony on Friday for Buen Vecino in Buenaventura Lakes — a new senior housing community for seniors — to improve affordable housing in the area. The project is funded with $5.2 million from county leaders, nearly $5.7 million from HUD, and $500,000 from the City of Kissimmee, and it will provide 60 apartments selected by lottery with first residents scheduled for late 2026.
