- ➤ City Engineer David Gomez said the Connect Kissimmee project will narrow downtown Broadway from four lanes to two—an update after commissioners approved the plan in January that aims to add parking and wider sidewalks. The $16 million project will delay construction from December 2025 to August 2026 and finish its first phase in summer 2028—officials are finalizing design details and traffic plans with FDOT.
