- ➤ The City of Kissimmee announced that its Bob Makinson Aquatic Center will open for the summer season on Saturday, May 24, with an opening weekend that includes Sunday and Memorial Day Monday, and will run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day while charging $5 per person at the gate. After the holiday weekend, the center will offer regular summer hours through August 9 and features a lap pool, a shallow play area for kids, concessions & shaded picnic spots. Around Osceola
- ➤ Wild Florida announced that its annual Gator Week will run May 26—31 and will offer free park admission with any cash donation to help fund scholarships for graduating Osceola County high school seniors—the event will include live demonstrations, feeding shows and competitions designed to educate guests about alligators.
