- ➤ A 32-year-old woman from Georgia was fatally struck by a 2005 Toyota Highlander driven by an 18-year-old Kissimmee resident just after midnight at 12:08 a.m. Saturday on U.S. 17-92 near Oaks Boulevard in Osceola County—Florida Highway Patrol officials said she was crossing a marked crosswalk showing a ‘Do Not Cross’ signal while the driver remained at the scene. - ➤ The Florida Department of Education released the financial report for the 2023 and 2024 school year and ranked Osceola School District as having the second lowest administrative spending of all state districts—showing its focus on directing funds into classrooms.
