- ➤ Florida Highway Patrol responded at 1 a.m. Friday to a deadly crash on I-4 near Championsgate in Osceola County, and one westbound lane remained open by 6 a.m. though heavy backups delayed traffic and officials advised using alternate routes on US-192 and US-27. WFTV

- ➤ Former Kissimmee officer Andrew Baseggio pleaded guilty to felony battery, witness tampering and official misconduct in a plea agreement that dropped additional charges for solicitation for perjury and another battery count—he now faces a maximum sentence of 24 months with sentencing set for late June after an April 2023 home-entry use-of-force incident. - ➤ On March 16, an Orlando police officer was accused at the Ezelle apartment complex near Kissimmee of snatching a man’s phone and striking his hand during a confrontation, and he was arrested on a warrant with charges of battery, unarmed robbery by sudden snatching, and grand theft between $750 and $5,000—he has been relieved of duty pending an investigation.
